Privacy Policy
How this independent editorial review site handles information about its readers in Uganda.
Visit the partner brokerWhat We Collect and Skip
A reader opens a review page about AvaTrade, scrolls through the sections on account types and trading conditions, and leaves without typing anything. In that ordinary visit, the site records the page requested, the time of the request, the referring page, and a coarse location derived from the network address. If the same reader later sends a message through the contact form on this site, the site keeps the text of that message and the reply address the reader chose to give.
The site does not ask for a trading account number, a deposit amount, a copy of an identity document, or any payment detail. It does not run account verification, because it does not open accounts. It does not collect information about a reader's positions, balances, or dealings with any broker. Nothing on the site is designed to identify a reader by name unless the reader puts a name in a message voluntarily.
Generalising from that example: the site collects what is needed to deliver a page, to understand which pages are read, and to answer a message. Everything else stays with the reader.
Analytics and Aggregated Measurement
The site uses measurement tools to count visits, see which review sections are opened, and learn how readers arrive. These tools produce aggregated figures: how many people viewed a page in a week, which pages are left quickly, which are read to the end. The figures are used to decide what to rewrite, what to expand, and what to remove.
Aggregated measurement is not used to build a profile of an individual reader, and it is not combined with message content to single anyone out. Reports drawn from these figures describe groups, not persons.
The site does not use measurement to track a reader across other websites for advertising purposes, and it does not sell placement based on a reader's behaviour.
Who Receives Information
Information reaches the people who run this site and the service providers that keep it online: the hosting provider that stores the pages, the provider of the measurement tools described above, and the provider that delivers contact-form messages. These providers act on the site's instructions and are bound to use the information only for the service they supply.
Information is not sold to any broker, platform, affiliate network, or data broker. It is not passed to AvaTrade or to any other trading venue, and it is not used to generate leads. The site has no commercial arrangement under which a reader's details change hands.
Information may be disclosed where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to answer a lawful request from a competent authority. In that case, the disclosure is limited to what the request covers.
How Long Records Stay
Contact-form messages and replies are kept for as long as needed to deal with the matter raised, and then for a short further period so that a follow-up question can be answered. After that, they are deleted.
Server logs and measurement records are kept for a limited period sufficient to review traffic patterns and fix faults, and are then discarded or reduced to aggregated totals that no longer relate to a single visit.
When a reader asks for deletion, the request is honoured within a reasonable time, subject to any record that must be retained to meet a legal obligation.
Rights, Age Limits, Contact
A reader may ask what information about them is held, ask for a copy, ask for a correction, ask for deletion, or object to a particular use. A reader may also withdraw consent where a use rests on consent. Requests are made through the contact form on this site, and the site responds through the route the reader provides.
The site is written for adults. It is not directed at children, and it does not knowingly collect information from anyone under eighteen. A reader who believes a child has sent information should use the contact form so that it can be removed.
The site is an editorial resource only. It is not the broker, it is not affiliated with the broker, and it does not provide financial services, accounts, deposits, or advice. This policy may be updated; the current version is the one published on this page.
