About the Editorial Team
An independent editorial desk that reviews AvaTrade for readers in Uganda, with no tie to the broker and no financial services of its own.
Visit the partner brokerWhy This Page Exists
A reader in Kampala opens the site on a phone, searches for a broker name, and wants to know within a minute whether the account terms, the fee schedule and the withdrawal route match what the marketing says. That single visit is the reason this page exists. We are an editorial team, not a broker and not an intermediary. We do not open accounts, take deposits, place orders or give advice on what anyone should do with money.
The site is written for readers in Uganda who are comparing a broker they have already heard about and who want a second, calmer account of how it works. It is not written for traders looking for signals, and it is not a place to discuss strategy. Our job is narrower: to describe what the broker publishes, test what can be tested from the outside, and say plainly where the facts stop.
We are not affiliated with AvaTrade. We receive no commission for an account opened after someone reads this site, and no payment changes what a page says. If that ever changes, the page will say so at the top, not in a footnote.
Where Facts Come From
Most of what you read here comes from the broker's own published documents: the client agreement, the fee and spread schedules, the order execution policy, the risk disclosure and the terms attached to each account type. We keep dated copies of what we read, so that a claim on a page can be traced back to the version of a document that was live when we checked it.
Where a fact can be checked from outside, we check it. That means opening the platform and walking through the registration screens without funding an account, timing how long a demo session takes to set up, reading the withdrawal section line by line, and comparing the fee table against what appears at the point of order. Anything we cannot confirm this way is either left out or marked as the broker's own statement.
We do not republish rumour, and we do not treat a review written by someone else as a source. When a number appears on the site, it has a document or a test behind it. When a number changes, we change the page and note the date of the change rather than quietly overwriting the old figure.
How Often Pages Are Revisited
Every review page carries the date it was last checked. Pages are revisited on a fixed cycle, and sooner when something moves: a change to the fee schedule, a new account term, a shift in the funding or withdrawal route, or a change in the documents that govern the client relationship. A page that has not been checked recently will say so rather than pretend to be current.
The cycle is not a promise that nothing changed between visits. It is a statement of when we last looked. If you are reading a page months after its check date, treat the figures as a starting point and confirm them with the broker before you act on them.
Corrections are dated too. We do not delete an error and leave the page looking as though it was always right; the correction note stays visible, because a reader is entitled to know that something was wrong and what replaced it.
The Limits of a Review
A review can tell you what a broker publishes, how its platform behaves in a test session, and where the terms are unusually strict or unusually clear. It cannot tell you what will happen to your money, what the market will do, or whether a broker will treat you well in a dispute five months from now. Those things depend on facts that no outside reviewer can see.
We test from the outside, without an insider's access. We cannot audit the broker's books, sit in on its compliance meetings, or verify how every client complaint was handled. Where a claim depends on the broker's internal conduct, we say that it is the broker's account of itself and not our finding.
Nothing on this site is financial advice, and nothing here is a recommendation to open an account or to fund one. A review is a description, not a verdict on your circumstances.
Challenging What We Publish
If something on this site is wrong, we want to hear it. Readers, and the broker itself, can raise a point through the contact form on this site. Tell us which page, which sentence, and what you believe the correct position is; a document or a screenshot helps more than an assertion.
We read every message. Where a challenge is supported, we correct the page, date the correction, and say what changed. Where a challenge is not supported, we explain why in the reply, and we keep the exchange on file so that the reasoning can be checked later.
We do not remove a page because someone dislikes its tone. We do remove or amend a statement that turns out to be factually wrong. Those are different things, and we try not to confuse them.
Testing and Scoring
Testing follows the same routine each time. We register a demo account and note how long it takes and what is asked of us. We walk the platform on desktop and on a phone, check order types, check how spreads and fees are displayed at the point of order, and compare those figures against the published schedule. We read the withdrawal section and note what documents are required and what the stated timelines are. We record what we saw and when.
Scoring is built from those observations against fixed criteria that are published alongside the review, so a reader can see what carried weight and what did not. A high score is not an endorsement and a low one is not a warning; both describe how the broker performed against our criteria on the day of the test. Criteria are weighted by what matters to a retail reader in Uganda, and the weighting is stated rather than hidden.
The site pays for itself through advertising and through the time of the people who write it. Advertising is sold by placement, never by outcome. No broker, and no one acting for a broker, can buy a score, a ranking, a sentence or the removal of a sentence. If an advertiser appears on a page, the review on that page was written and scored before any commercial discussion, and the advertising relationship has no bearing on the text.
